Akbar Contracting is a veteran-owned Washington, DC based company, providing architecture and construction services for residential properties in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. We are a team of creative professionals, passionate about space planning, building, and interior design. We have over 50 years of combined experience, and our pride is our work, so we are great at it! We get asked a lot, "what's behind the name?" Akbar, simply means "Great". The name is the surname of our founder, but it is our team's hard work and passion for creating beautiful, functional, and adorned spaces that has put us on the map, and our commitment to be "great" keeps us there. We are particularly proud and honored to be named a Best of D.C. finalist in this year’s Washington City Paper readers’ poll for the Top Contractor category.
